The Most Frequently Bought Sticker Shapes

Personalized stickers can be sold in custom shapes or based on default templates, which are typically created in regular forms such as rectangles or ovals. According to the purchasing preferences of customers using Sticker Builder, a significant majority of consumers—83%—opt for custom shapes. These include stickers with default templates in irregular forms, as well as those featuring AI-cut faces, characters, and other unique designs. This trend underscores the importance of offering advanced tools that empower users to create designs tailored to their specific needs.

The remaining 17% of orders are divided among more traditional shapes: 6% are rectangular stickers, 6% are oval-shaped, and 5% are rounded rectangles. While these shapes are less frequently chosen, they remain essential for meeting the preferences of customers who value simplicity and functionality in their sticker designs. Maintaining a balance between custom and standard shapes enables businesses to cater to a broader range of customer preferences, thereby maximizing both satisfaction and sales potential.

Outline Types Most Frequently Chosen by Customers

The thickness of sticker outlines offered to customers is typically determined by sellers and tailored to the capabilities of their printing machines. According to Sticker Builder data, the majority of stickers—58% of paid orders—are printed with a thin outline. However, a significant portion of customers also opt for medium (27%) or thick (9%) outlines. Providing a range of outline options is essential to meet diverse customer preferences and ensure creative flexibility. For customers looking to create unique, personalized stickers, the ability to choose their preferred outline thickness can enhance their overall satisfaction and likelihood of purchase.
